Terrific teachers tea

It’s been a tough year for everyone in Western Australia as we transitioned to living with COVID-19.

It’s been especially difficult for our teachers and school staff who have been on the front-line delivering care and a continuous education program amidst student and staff absences.

We are grateful to all the staff at Lathlain Primary for keeping our children safe and happy and giving them a sense of normality while the state adjusted to COVID-19 in the community.

This event is to acknowledge how they put their students’ needs ahead of their own and to thank them for their kindness, compassion, leadership and resilience during a tough year.

Grant proceeds will purchase resources to support our teachers and provide them with assistance and tools to maintain their mental health. We will be encouraging our students to make special cards and thank you notes to bring in on this day and present to their teachers.

This event is funded by the Western Australian Association for Mental Health as part of Mental Health Week 2022.
