Beats & Eats
The Beats and Eats drop-in space at Bernard Park will run from 3-5pm after school on the 8th and 9th of October. We will have our headspace Northam mental health information stall available for youth to connect with staff and obtain any mental health support information they might need. We will also be providing toasties, fruit salads and juice to attending youth for a healthy after school feed as many students in our community are currently experiencing food insecurity due to cost of living and other personal pressures.
We will have a chill out zone with music and art therapy activities and also more active games and activities for students to get active and enjoy the park such as sporting games, giant jenga and a ball rebounder game. We hope students will come and go and enjoy being able to spend some time with friends in a fun and supportive environment.
This is a public event open to the whole community.
