This event was funded by the Western Australian Association for Mental Health with the support of Lotterywest as part of Mental Health Week 2024.
Protective Behaviours is a child abuse prevention program used across Australia. This FREE workshop will provide parents and carers with up-to-date information and practical strategies that can empower your child and help keep them safe from abuse.
The program is based on two core themes:
- We all have the right to be safe and feel safe at all times.
- We can talk with someone about anything, no matter what it is.
Learn about how to teach your children essential personal safety strategies including:
- Identifying unsafe feelings and warning signs
- Safe and unsafe secrets
- Personal space and consent
- Body safety
- Safety networks
- Help-seeking strategies
Please note this workshop is not suitable for children.
This is a public event open to the whole community.
