Interactive Workshop with Bee Educated

Bees are truly fascinating insects and are incredibly important to our ecosystem. Australia alone is home to 1,500 native bees.

Bee Educated was established in 2013 and is owned and operated by Roy Murphy. Roy is a bee researcher and has a passion for community engagement.

With a focus on interactive learning and a hands-on approach to help participants become more engaged, Roy will deliver a combination of the following topics and content:

• Introduction to the importance of Bees

• Pollination with bees and flowers

• Bees and the environment

• Bee anatomy

• How humans can protect bees

• Learn the different types of bees including queens, workers, and drones

• How do bees use pollen and nectar within a working hive?

• Life cycle of different bees

Suitable for all ages, children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult
