World Mental Health Day @ Cockburn ARC

World Mental Health Day @ Cockburn ARC

Join the City of Cockburn for a free forum to hear a range of speakers, some with lived experience, to hear their insights and useful strategies for dealing with mental health issues.

Guest speakers include:

• David Scaife MLA, Member for Cockburn will share his personal experience and speak about achieving goals while also managing mental health

• Matt Willson from Black Dog on a Lead will discuss Black Dog on a Lead’s vision to reduce stigma through the normalisation of mental health conversation and talk about the Resilience Model and how it can improve your life

• Sudha from the Art of Living Foundation will lead you through breathing exercises to deal with stress and anxiety

• Liz Vuchocho, City of Cockburn cultural diversity officer will talk about mental health challenges faced by people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds

You can also chat with mental health service providers about available mental health support services and resources.

And there'll be a delicious morning tea. RSVP: [email protected] or call 9411 3859.

This is a public event open to the whole community.
