Nature's Remedy: Boost Your Mental Health
A free interactive workshop to discover practical ways to integrate nature into daily life for enhanced mood and focus. Suitable for all ages, with special activities for children and families. Lunch is provided. Places are limited so booking is essential.
Workshop Highlights: • Connect with nature on a short walk trail, practicing mindfulness at activity stations using sight, hearing, smell, and touch. • Observe how drones are used to monitor local osprey nests and learn about the importance of biodiversity and conservation. • Go on a tour of the local Community Garden Centre to explore the garden, participate in hands-on activities, and discover how gardening can support mental health. • Watch short educational videos about nature’s impact on wellbeing and strategies to prevent nature deficit disorder and manage climate change anxiety. • Enjoy wholesome snacks while engaging in open conversations about mental health and nature. • Meet Dudley Dolphin, our friendly mascot who will be there to entertain and inspire the younger participants in a special kid's activity area.
