As part of Mental Health Week, Swimming WA will deliver a meaningful and empowering series of sessions designed to promote mental wellbeing and positive body image across the Western Australian swimming community.
Body Empowerment Community Session
Open to the general swimming community, a second session will focus on body empowerment for children, parents, and local coaches. This session will also be held at Royal Life Saving Society Building.
Facilitated by a Swimming Australia-appointed presenter, the session will address:
Positive communication techniques between athletes, parents, and coaches The importance of healthy body image and self-talk How to properly fuel the body for performance and wellbeing The vital link between nutrition, self-esteem, and mental health
