Mental Health Activity day
On Friday, 14 October during Mental Health Week, we are organising a coffee van to be in the school grounds so families can gather together and view the resources from support agencies around are area including Anglicare, Relationships Australia, RUAH, City of Mandurah and Your Move. These support services are to gain vital information for our parents to support them in completing workshops around parenting, cyber safety and many more, to access services for counselling and support with hardship, support around housing and neighbourhoods. Act Belong Commit, City of Mandurah and Your Move will be supporting parents gaining physical activity in the local area. These support services around a coffee van will improve information and support our families in building more healthy communities.
During the day our students in three session, kindergarten and pre-primary, junior and seniors will be enjoying our Zumba classes, this is to teach students that physical activity that is good for mental health can be fun and beneficial.
We would also like to organise and provide a healthy lunch for the mental health of all of our staff, this will support our staff in looking at the resources from the support services to access themselves or to gain information to support students within their classrooms.
These three areas will cover the mental health of our school in different areas fulfilling the criteria of nutrition we consume, movement of our bodies and building healthy communities.
This a private event for invitation only.
