Crafting Creatively

Crafting Creatively

Djinda Boodja will be promoting mental health awareness and overall wellbeing this WA Mental Health Week 2023, supporting the theme of ‘Mind. Body. Environment.', for Perth Creative College's Indigenous students (both from metro Perth and from the regions). Djinda Boodja will host Creative Crafting sessions for the students, underscoring how the body, mind and environment intersect in ways that are essential to overall wellbeing.

In particular, Djinda Boodja will be working with students from land and country. Through Crafting Creatively sessions, led by a Koori Elder, the students will explore the following:

How physical health can impact a person's overall mental health and wellbeing; How the way we interact with the world around us can impact our mental health and wellbeing; The importance of connection to country and land positively impacts our personal development as well as our mental health and wellbeing; and how our treatment of country impacts our health and wellbeing, with particular emphasis on positive impact upon our environment.

This a private event for invitation only.
