Unfiltered for Mental Health Week
Unfiltered is a 30-minute lived-experience documentary exploring the intersectionality of mental health challenges.
About the event
Unfiltered is a 30-minute lived-experience documentary exploring the intersectionality of mental health challenges. It follows the experiences of 7 Western Australians navigating mental health challenges across diverse communities and identities. This is not a glossy, inspirational narrative. It is a brave, human, and deeply honest look at what it means to survive, advocate, and thrive in systems that aren’t conducive to it.
It is an exciting collaboration, brought to you by Rachael Burns (Founder of Integrity Initiative) and Lily Gresele (Founder of How To Be Well). Lily and Rachael are both young people in Boorloo who have founded and operate grassroots, Lived Experience mental health enterprises and who have experience in film, media, and content creation.
ABOUT THE FILM More than a film, Unfiltered is a celebration of lived experience, shared wisdom, and the people who continue to create change through their stories.
Unfiltered was created entirely independently and guided by the theme "Empowering Communities, Thriving Workforces".
It explores Peer work, intersectionality and community through honest, unfiltered interviews.
Join us to hear the stories of seven Western Australians - Natalee Blakemore, Eva Cocks, Lana Moon, Annabel Tannenbaum, Jacob Gaitskell, Allison McDonald, and Zoe Diakoloukas.
