Mental Health First Aid Training – VPCC

Join us for a nationally recognised Standard Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course delivered over two days at Victoria Park Community Centre.

About the Course

This 12-hour MHFA course teaches adults (18+) how to provide initial support to someone developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.

Participants will learn:

Developing mental health problems:

Depression

Anxiety problems

Psychosis

Substance use problems

Mental health crises:

Suicidal thoughts and behaviours

Non-suicidal self-injury

Panic attacks

Traumatic events

Severe psychotic states

Severe effects from alcohol or other drug use

Aggressive behaviours

This course is ideal for community members, volunteers, carers, and anyone wanting to build confidence in supporting others.
